Charles Alfred Cuvelier, 85, of Union City passed away 4:38 p.m. Sunday, August 19, 2018, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

Funeral services will be conducted 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Union City. Father Joey Kaump will officiate.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday.

Mr. Cuvelier was born August 9, 1933, in Calhoun County, Michigan son of the late Charles Cecil and Beatrice (Lewis) Cuvelier. He married Helen (Janusz) Cuvelier October 5, 1957. She survives. Charles retired from the former Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company in Union City after 27 years of service and was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.

He is also survived by two daughters, Michele Peters of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Cindy (Bob) Pertuset of Mt. Juliet; two sons, Charles (Beth) Cuvelier of Woodbridge, Virginia and Jim Cuvelier of Hendersonville; six grandchildren, Scarlett Cuvelier, Savannah Cuvelier, Sadie Cuvelier, Zach Pertuset, Madison Pertuset and Daniel Pertuset; and one brother, Robert Cuvelier of Kalamazoo, Michigan.

He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Vivian Dietiker and Margie Jackson; and one brother, Lewis Cuvelier.
