Obituary

Mr. Charles Leon Brown, 84, of Troy passed away 4:31 a.m. Thursday, August 27, 2015, at Tennessee State Veterans Home in Murfreesboro.

Memorial services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 6, 2015, at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Jimmy Brown will officiate.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of services on Sunday September 6, 2015.

Mr. Brown was born October 29, 1930, in Dickson County, son of the late Harry Moore and Lula (Horton) Brown. He married Madge (Johnson) Brown February 23, 1981. She died March 14, 2014. Mr. Brown was a retired carpenter and a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church near Rives. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War and was a member of the Western Sun Masonic Lodge #88 in Troy.

He is survived by one daughter, Deborah Grace Strong (Jon) of Murfreesboro; one son, Ronnie Ray Brown (Lisa) of Woodstock, GA; one stepson, Randy Cozart (Ellen) of Mt. Juliet; three grandchildren; four step grandchildren; three great grandchildren; four step great grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by one stepdaughter, Pamela Waggoner; five sisters; and four brothers.
