Chaney Petty's Obituary
William Chaney Petty, 38, of Hornbeak passed away 11:45 p.m. Sunday, June 4, 2017, at his home.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Robert Johnson will officiate. Burial will follow in Hickman City Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of services Wednesday.
Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to The Epilepsy Foundation, 8301 Professional Place, Suite 200, Landover, Maryland 20785.
Pallbearers will be Mike Barker, Joey Barker, Jimmy Elks, Mark Ethridge, Donovan Ray and Zachary Anderson.
Honorary pallbearers will he his nephews and nieces, Garrett Petty, Mackenzie Muse, Dakota Webb, Kolby Webb, Sheridan Ray and Breanne Baggett.
Chaney was born November 10, 1978, in Union City, son of Roy Dale and Sherri (Chaney) Petty of Hornbeak. He was employed at Tyson Foods in Union City and was a motorcyle enthusiast. Chaney was of the Baptist faith.
He is also survived by one brother and sister-in-law, Don and Alicia Petty of Hornbeak; his cousin, Rebecca Darnall Ray of Wingo, Kentucky; his uncle, Teddy Petty of Hornbeak; his great aunt, Sue Adams of Hickman, Kentucky; his great uncle, Jerry Williams of Tacoma, Washington; and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Don Chaney and Bobbie Jean Chaney Hickerson and William Carl Petty and Retha Petty.
