Chance Sturgis Lyle, 14, of Union City died Friday, August 30, 2013, as the result of an automobile accident on Chapel Hill Road near South Fulton.

Funeral services will be conducted 7:00 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home. Brother John Worrell will officiate.

The family will receive friends at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until the hour of services Friday.

Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to Hometown Walk of Hope, P.O. Box 482, Union City, Tennessee 38281 or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, Tennessee 38101-9908.

He was born October 11, 1998, in Union City, son of Missy (Sturgis) Lyle and Mickey and Cindy Lyle all of Union City. Chance was a freshman at South Fulton High School and enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding four wheelers.

He is also survived by his twin brother, Chase Lyle of Union City, his brother and sister-in-law, Shane and Kimmy Butler of Union City; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Lisa and Chad Wherry and Laken Butler all of Union City; his grandmother, Brenda Sturgis of Union City; his great grandfather, Henry Hicks of Rives; two aunts, Stephanie Sturgis of Nashville and Tammy Worrell of Union City; his uncle, Allen Lyle of Samburg; and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jimmy Dan Sturgis, Mary Ward and Bobby Lyle; and his aunt, Debbie Davis.
