Catherine Sue Hale, 68, of Union City passed away 8:51 p.m. Sunday, March 26, 2023, at Methodist North Hospital in Memphis.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Pastor Paul Ray Cagle will officiate. Burial will follow in New Haven Cemetery near Ridgely.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of services Thursday.

Catherine was born November 5, 1954, in Tiptonville, daughter of the late William Thomas Sergerson and Jannie Lee (Settles) Sergerson. She married William "Billy" Hale August 5, 1974. He survives. Catherine was a homemaker and enjoyed camping. She was of the Pentecostal faith.

She is also survived by her mother, Jannie Sergerson of Hermitage and formerly of Union City; one daughter, Susan Hale of Union City; one son, Jason Hale (Li Dai) of Union City; one stepson, Billy Hale of Ocean Breeze, Florida; one sister, Lisa Strain (Scott) of Gordonsville; four grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her step daughter, Angie Hale; and her brother, Charles "Tommy" Sergerson.
