Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in the Chapel of Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home . Burial will follow in Obion County Memorial Gardens . Brother Julian Huey will officiate.

Mrs. Burke was born November 6, 1927, in Crandon, Wisconsin, daughter of the late Orin Lester and Irene (McCormick) Tupper. She married William B. Burnes on April 20, 1955. He died December 15, 1968. She was retired from American Greeting Card Distributors and was a Catholic.

She is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law, Arthur and Chris Burnes and Lester and Mary Burnes all of Union City and Kenneth Burnes of Rives; four daughters and two sons-in-law, Bernice Boone of Union City, Mary Vanderlaan of Muskegon, Michigan, Margaret and Jerry Handley of Enid, Oklahoma and Dorothy and Ralph Sprayberry of Wichita, Kansas; five step-children, Marcella, Brenda, Genie, Mike and Patty; 18 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends in the Chapel of Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday.

Pallbearers to serve will be family members.
