Mr. Ben Carson Vaughn, 46, of Farmington, Michigan and formerly of Obion County, died 12:20 p.m. Friday, August 26, 2011, at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home. Dr. Vann Kissell will officiate. Burial will follow in Obion County Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday.

Pallbearers will be Bob Searcy, Mike Gallagher, Mike Rohroff, Nicky Dunn, Bobby Dale Vaughn and James Fulbright.

Carson was born May 4, 1965, in Union City, son of Ben Ivan Vaughn of the Shawtown community and Jackie (Roney) Vaughn of Troy. He was a 1983 graduate of Obion County Central High School and a graduate of The University of Tennessee at Martin where he received a bachelor of science degree in business. He was employed as a salesman for Crown Equipment Company in Plymouth, Michigan and was a member of First United Methodist Church in Waterford, Michigan.

He is also survived by his wife, Lynn McRobb of Holly, Michigan; two sons, Benjamen Vaughn of Ypsilanti, Michigan and Gabe Vaughn of Plymouth, Michigan; his daughter, Molly Vaughn of Plymouth, Michigan; his sister and brother-in-law, Lori and James Fulbright of Troy; three nephews, Jacob Fulbright, Lucas Fulbright and Seth Fulbright all of Troy; and his niece, Hannah Fulbright of Troy.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, B.C. and Frances Vaughn and Willis and Mildred Roney.

The family request memorial contributions be made in Carson's name to the American Brain Tumor Association , 8550 West Bryn Mawr Avenue, Suite 550, Chicago, Illinois 60631, in order to help find a cure for glioblastoma multiforme brain tumors.
