Mrs. Margaret Carolyn Gatlin, 68, of Union City died 11:05 p.m. Sunday, November 29, 2010, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home. Rev. Ruth Green, Rev. Steve Gatlin and Rev. Chris Brady will officiate. Burial will follow in East View Cemetery.

Mrs. Gatlin was born July 2, 1942, in Lake County, Tennessee, daughter of the late Garvin and Minnie (Mc Nulty) Nichols. She married Harold Edward Gatlin on April 12, 1958. He died August 8, 2003. She was a retired office clerk at Williams Sausage Company and a member of Manna Ministries.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Catherine Gatlin of Only, Tennessee; her daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Richard Dunn of Rives; her son-in-law, Rick Bowers of Union City; three sisters, Ruth Baker of Waverly, Tennessee, Betty Lou Breeden of Mc Ewen, Tennessee and Pat Brady of Union City; two brothers, Charles Nichols and Paul Nichols both of Waverly, Tennessee; seven grandchildren and the spouse of one, Stephanie and Jacob Hamrick of Nashville, Tennessee, Josh Gatlin and Nick Gatlin both of Martin, Adam Gatlin of Only, Tennessee, and Zach Dunn, Kody Dunn and Kaley Dunn all of Rives.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kathy Bowers ; and two brothers, Thomas Nichols and Buddy Nichols.

The family will receive friends at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday.

Pallbearers will be Tommy Gurien, Joey Kennedy, Jonathan "Bubba" Byrd, Ronnie Burge, Eddie Brady and Christopher Brady.

Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
