Mrs. Carol Ann Baird, 71, of Union City passed away 10:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 4, 2020, at her home.

Funeral services will be conducted 12:00 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Scott Campbell will officiate. Burial will follow in East View Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday.

Pallbearers will be Austin Baird, Joey Faulkner, Ben Burnett, Paul Allman, Steve Cochran and Adam Scribner.

Mrs. Baird was born December 18, 1948, in McKenzie, Tn., daughter of the late George Marvin and Mary Gertrude (Childress) Ridinger. She married Robert Baird January 17, 1970. He survives. She worked as a dispatcher for the Obion County Sheriff Office for many years and was a director for the Obion County 911 office. Carol was a member of the Obion County Crewettes and member of Sunswept Baptist Church.

She is also survived by one daughter, Tasha Froelich (Chip) of Hendersonville, Tn.; one son, Scott Baird (Lauren) of Lakeland, Tn.; five grandchildren, Mackenzie Froelich, Katie Froelich, Libby Baird, Thompson Baird and Grange Baird; one brother, Daniel Ridinger (Anne) of Rogersville, Al.; two sisters, Glenda Cole (Bud) of Milan, Tn. and Teresa Thomas (Fred) of Huntingdon, Tn.; in-laws, Ronald Baird (Susan) of Dyer, Tn., Randy Baird (Sally) of Rutherford, Tn. and Brenda Ridinger of Bartlett, Tn.; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

She was also preceded in death by three brothers, George Larry Ridinger, Kenneth Ridinger and Richard Ridinger.
