Carl Thomas Prather, 73, of Hickman, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City.

Memorial visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday.

Carl was born August 7, 1951, in Union City, son of the late Thomas Richard "Jack" Prather and the late Kathleen (Hampton) Prather Moore. He married Pam (Rupert) Prather September 2, 1972. She preceded him in death July 12, 2024. Carl retired from Nichols Engineering.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Amy Prather of South Fulton; two granddaughters, Taylor Hope Allen of South Fulton and Carlee Fayth Hagan and husband Klayton of Union City; two sisters, Martha Ellen Moosman of Atoka and Gayle Johnson of Lebanon; and one brother, Philip Prather of Kennewick, Washington.

He was also preceded in death by one brother, Sam Prather.
