Obituary

Mr. Carl Edward Arrington, 79, went to be with his heavenly father on June 18, 2022, surrounded by his family.

He was born on January 4th, 1943, to the late Carl Metcalf and Mary Townsend Arrington of Fulton, KY.

Carl is survived by his wife, Bonnie, sons; Eric Arrington of Bartlett, TN, Jason (Megan) Arrington of Austin, TX, Jarred (Andrea) Dellinger of Rockwall, TX, 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandson.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Ruthene Arrington; his sister, Linda Dacus; along with many friends and relatives.

In 1961 Carl joined the Navy, where he served 4 years as a Pipe-fitter Foreman. After his discharge from the Navy, he worked for Bell South Telephone, Illinois Central Gulf Railroad and Goodyear.

Throughout his life, he was known for his dry sense of humor and his deep love for his family, friends, and country.

Carl was a godly man, who was always actively involved in the churches he attended. He served as an Ordained Deacon, maintenance supervisor, choir member and an usher.

Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 20, 2022, at Second Baptist Church in Union City. Mark Ward, Brother Russell Zik and Brother Sam Coleman will officiate.

Visitation will be held at Second Baptist Church from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of services Monday.

In leu of flowers a memorial or honor gift may be made in Carl's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
