Mr. Robert "Butch" Woodward, 79, of Union City passed away 5:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 27, 2020, at his home.

Graveside services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Friday at East View Cemetery. Brother Tony Keeton will officiate.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

There will be no visitation and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery for the service.

Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Butch was born June 18, 1940, in Pittsfield, Illinois, son of the late Robert Franklin and Grace Bell (Sutton) Woodward. He married Laura (Hawks) Woodward August 16, 1985. She survives. He worked for the former Brown Shoe Company and Reelfoot Packing Company in Union City and was a member of the Union City Baptist Temple.

He is also survived by three sons, Mike Woodward (Nicole) of Newbern, Dale Woodward and Keith Woodward of Union City; one daughter, Pam Richards of Gadsden, Alabama; one granddaughter, Abby Woodward of Newbern; two grandsons, Jared Woodward and Brett Woodward of Union City; and one sister, Linda Nelson of Union City.

He was also preceded in death by one brother, Ronnie Woodward.
