William Robert "Buddy" Dean, 70, of Hornbeak went home to be with the Lord 8:55 a.m. Thursday, October 8, 2020, at his home.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Sunday at Calvary Independent Baptist Church. Brother Carl Southerland will officiate. Burial will follow in Antioch Cemetery near Hornbeak.
Visitation will be held at Calvary Independent Baptist Church from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Saturday.
Pallbearers will be Mark Green, Ryan Green, Chris McNeal, Rogers Truett, Pepper Truett, Rodney Truett and Robert Woods.
Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Buddy was born September 23, 1950, in Hornbeak, son of the late William Price and Lillian Estelle (Wilson) Dean. He married Linda (Boyd) Dean November 1, 1979. She survives. Buddy was a retired employee of the former Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company and was a member of Calvary Independent Baptist Church.
He is also survived by one son, Matthew Dean of Hornbeak; one stepdaughter, Deborah Peterson of Hornbeak; two stepsons, Tony Copeland of Union City and Rogers Truett (Amy) of Troy; one sister, Louise Freeman of Troy; ten grandchildren, Heather Wall (David), Brittany Truett, Jordan Copeland, Adam Mitchell and Tyler Copeland all of Union City, Allie Truett and Ryan Dean both of Hornbeak, Summer Truett and Tryton Truett both of Troy and Robin Warden of Florida; and ten great grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Treva Truett and Linda Forrester.
