Mr. Marion Thornton "Bud" Staggs, 85, of Union City passed away 2:05 p.m. Sunday, December 3, 2023, at Diversicare of Martin.

Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of cremation arrangements.

Bud was born April 23, 1938, in Hazzard, Kentucky, son of the late Dan and Mary (Pierce) Staggs.  He was a truck driver and of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by one son, Stacy Staggs (Donna) of Union City; two daughters, Susan Fowler (Kevin) of Oklahoma and Tammy Lewis of Union City; seven grandchildren; one sister, Ruth Combs of San Antonio, Texas; one brother, Dan Staggs, Jr. (Janet) of Bloomington, Illinois; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was also preceded in death by one brother, Arvel Staggs; and one sister, Kim Staggs.
