Brenda Joy Powers, 63, of Martin passed away 9:30 a.m. Saturday, October 7, 2017, at Diversicare of Martin.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Manna Ministries near Union City. Sister Ruth Green will officiate. Burial will follow in Beulah Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of service on Wednesday at Manna Ministries.

Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers to serve will be Terry Hinson, Maguel Martinez, Wayne Franklin, Jim Franklin, Wes Walden and Chad Thorton.

Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Travis, Jackie Roberson, Frank Hinson, and Harlen Bennett.

Brenda was born May 30, 1954, in Tiptonville, daughter of the late Albert Turnbow and the late Betty Turnbow Mingle. She married John Powers October 2, 1993. He survives. Brenda was a homemaker and a member of Manna Ministries near Union City.

She is also survived by one daughter, Angie (Larry)Parish of Union City; two sons, Brian Eaves of Union City and Shane (Wendy) Eaves of Obion; three stepdaughters, Amanda (Nicky) Avent of Martin and Wendy (Richard) Bell and Michelle (Derrick) Rice both of Michigan; one stepson, Andrew Powers of Michigan; five sisters, Lois Hinson of the Clayton community, Carolyn Travis, Debbie Turnbow and Teresa Roberson all of Union City and Geneva Higgins of Rives; two brothers, Richard Turnbow of Rives and Albert Turnbow of Obion; seven grandchildren, Steven Pollock and Nicholas Eaves both of Martin and Josh (Keisha) Pollock, Jordan Eaves and Matthew Eaves all of Union City and Austin Eaves and Shawn Eaves both of Dyersburg; fifteen step grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one sister, Peggy Turnbow.
