Brenda Lou Johnson, age 81, of Hickman, Kentucky passed away 4:23 p.m. Thursday, March 5, 2026, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

Memorial graveside services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Hickman City Cemetery. Brother Richard Holloway will officiate.

There will be no visitation and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery for the service.

Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Brenda was born June 12, 1944, in Hickman, Kentucky, daughter of the late Lester C. Yates and the late Catherine (Bowlin) Aquino. She had been employed at Hub's in Hickman as a cook. Brenda loved to paint, garden and design flower arrangements. She was a member of First Church of God in Hickman.

She is survived by two daughters, Kathy Price and husband Keith of Jackson and Robin Gooding of Fulton; one son, Michael Bailey of Hickman; 9 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and 5 great great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by two sons, Lynn Ellis Bailey, Jr. and Leo Eugene King; two sisters, Joyce Freeman and Glenda Carter; and one brother, Laymon C. Yates.
