Mrs. Brenda Lou (Mays) Hargrove, 65, of Union City died 9:30 p.m. Monday, November 24, 2014, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home. James Clinton Tittle and Tim Houston will officiate. Burial will follow in Mt. Olive Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of services Friday.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Alexander, Chuck Hoffman, Richard Hoffman, James Hoffman, Shane Hoffman, Matthew Wilson and Nicholas Wilson.
Honorary pallbearers will be David Blincoe, Vernon Alexander, Dr. Philip Sherman and the men of First Street Church of Christ.
Mrs. Hargrove was born October 30, 1949, in Haleyville, Alabama, daughter of the late Walter James and Icy Mae (Purser) Mays. She married Richard S. Hargrove, Sr. June 23, 1984. He died in September 2001. Brenda was a homemaker and a member of First Street Church of Christ. She was also a member of Charlie T's Coffee Club.
She is survived by three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Tim and James Clinton Tittle of Troy, Pearl and Jerry Alexander of the Shawtown community and Becky Hoffman of the Walnut Log community; one brother and sister-in-law, Orbie L. and Faye Mays of Bonita, California; 13 nieces and nephews; one uncle; one aunt; and several cousins.
She was also preceded in death by one brother, James Roy Mays; and one brother-in-law, Charles Hoffman.
