Brenda Faye Cole, 71, of Hickman, Kentucky passed away 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 4, 2024, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City.

Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Sunday at West Hickman Baptist Church. Brother Jason Sipes will officiate. Burial will follow in Hickman City Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at West Hickman Baptist Church from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of services Sunday.

Pallbearers will be Scott Shell, Jonathan Shell, Jaquay Udley, Steven Roberson, Gerald Scarbrough, Darryl Scarbrough, Brandon Beasley, Bart Goodman and Holden King.

Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Brenda was born March 17, 1953, in Granite City, Illinois, daughter of the late Harvey Holt and the late Zona (Scarbrough) Johnson. She married Greg Cole October 15, 1971. Brenda had been employed at the former Ashtex in Hickman and the former Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company in Union City. She enjoyed sewing, spending time with her family and was a member of West Hickman Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Greg Cole of Hickman, Kentucky; two daughters, Shannon Hutchison and husband Richard of South Fulton and Keri Cole of Hickman, Kentucky; her twin sister, Glenda Shell of Hickman, Kentucky; two half sisters, Nancy Sipes and husband Kevin of St. Louis, Missouri and Carolyn Ferrell of Granite City, Illinois; two step sisters, Cherry Mudd of Hickman, Kentucky and Darla Rouse of Fancy Farm, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Brandon Hutchison of South Fulton and Macayla Cole and Cameron Cole both of Hickman, Kentucky; four great grandchildren, Kaiden Roberson, Sydnie Cole, Ashton Freeman and Journi Foster all of Hickman, Kentucky; and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Sidney Holt and James Henry Holt; and one step brother, Stan Johnson.
