Brenda Baine, age 77, of Union City, TN passed away peacefully at home on May 20, 2025.

She was born on July 14, 1947, in Eldorado, IL, to the late Rev. Clifford and Wilma (Cowan) Barger. Brenda was united in marriage to Earl Leslie "Les" Forrest, who preceded her in death in 2001. She later married Gene Baine, who also preceded her in death in 2022.

Brenda was a member of Gilead Presbyterian Church in Simpson, IL. She had a lifelong love of gospel music and was a devoted member of several gospel singing groups throughout her life. A talented beautician by profession, Brenda also had a passion for travel, especially to Texas, which brought her great joy.

She is survived by her son, Douglas Earl Forrest of Union City, TN; and daughters, Rita Sue Forrest and Elizabeth Ann Behlmann, both of Harrisburg, IL, and Melissa Lynn Maue of Madisonville, KY; grandchildren, Bryan Culkin, Brandon (Haley) Culkin, Brooklyn Shewmaker, Katie Sirk, Aaron Maue, Zachary Behlmann, and Ray Behlmann, and thirteen great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her brother, Kenneth Barger; sister, Mary Ann (Kenneth) Dennis; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husbands, Brenda was preceded in death by three brothers: Lonnie Barger, Harvey "Bud" Barger, and Bill Barger.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at Aly Funeral Home in Eddyville, Illinois. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., prior to the service. Interment will follow at Gilead Cemetery in Simpson, Illinois.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
