Obituary

Mrs. Bonnie Ellen Carney, 83, of Union City died 8:57 p.m. Friday, August 30, 2013, at Weakley County Nursing Home near Dresden.

Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Obion County Memorial Gardens. Brother Ron Gray will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. Sunday at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Alzheimer's Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, D.C. 20090-6011.

Family members and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Mrs. Carney was born March 31, 1930, in Obion County, daughter of the late Elmer Eugene â??Jackâ? and Eula Mae (Phillips) Chamberlain. She married John Harold Carney in 1947. He died May 30, 1985. She was a homemaker who loved collecting antiques and was of the Episcopal faith.

She is survived by two sons, Steve Carney and his fianceé, Tracy King and Johnny Carney all of Dresden; and one sister, Patty Chamberlain of Cadiz, Ky.

She was preceded in death by four brothers, Harold Chamberlain, J.C. Chamberlain, Clyde Chamberlain and Elmer Chamberlain and one sister, Mary McReynolds.
