Bonnie Carney's Obituary
Mrs. Bonnie Ellen Carney, 83, of Union City died 8:57 p.m. Friday, August 30, 2013, at Weakley County Nursing Home near Dresden.
Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Obion County Memorial Gardens. Brother Ron Gray will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. Sunday at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Alzheimer's Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, D.C. 20090-6011.
Family members and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Mrs. Carney was born March 31, 1930, in Obion County, daughter of the late Elmer Eugene â??Jackâ? and Eula Mae (Phillips) Chamberlain. She married John Harold Carney in 1947. He died May 30, 1985. She was a homemaker who loved collecting antiques and was of the Episcopal faith.
She is survived by two sons, Steve Carney and his fianceé, Tracy King and Johnny Carney all of Dresden; and one sister, Patty Chamberlain of Cadiz, Ky.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Harold Chamberlain, J.C. Chamberlain, Clyde Chamberlain and Elmer Chamberlain and one sister, Mary McReynolds.
