Robert Lee "Bobby" Goodman, 85, of Samburg passed away 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 30, 2023, at AHC Union City.

Funeral services will be conducted 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 5, 2023, in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Ken Hogg will officiate. Burial will follow in Antioch Cemetery near Hornbeak.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Tuesday.

Pallbearers will be Calvin Goodman, Tim Crow, Brian Goletto, Don Parks, Ron Parks and Eddie Fickle.

Bobby was born July 18, 1938, in Tiptonville, son of the late Ralph Darnell Goodman and the late Allyne (Commons) Herndon. He married Brenda (Sanders) Goodman October 14, 1966. She survives. Bobby had been employed by Henry I Siegel, Salant & Salant and the Department of The Army in quality control and retired as a inspector with the Tennessee Department of Transportation. Bobby's most fond memories included his time as a lifeguard at the three beaches of the Wash-out in Lake County.  His 21 years of service in the National Guard and countless years of guiding on Reelfoot Lake made for the best stories a family could ask for! He was also a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and was fourth degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus.

He is also survived by three daughters, Debbie Crow and husband Tim of Troy and Bobbi Campbell and Lee Goodman both of Union City; one son, Calvin Goodman of Kansas City, Missouri; three grandchildren, Brian Goletto and wife Stacey and Brooke Parks and husband Don all of Union City and Hannah Goodman of Kansas City, Missouri; and four great grandchildren, Katie Goletto, Allie Goletto, Charlie Parks and Amelia Parks all of Union City.

He was also preceded in death by his brother, Charles Eugene Goodman; and his son-in-law, Jeff Campbell.
