Bobby W. Ford, 84, of Montgomery, Alabama passed away September 13, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was a former resident of Union City.
Memorial services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 30, 2017, in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Eddie Mallonee will officiate.
Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of services Saturday.
Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to Hometown Walk of Hope, P.O. Box 482, Union City, Tennessee 38281.
Mr. Ford was born November 14, 1932, in Weakley County, the son of the late Horace and Lola (Walker) Ford. He was married to Jeanette (Stover) Ford who survives. Mr. Ford started his truck driving career as a driver with the former Reelfoot Packing Company and retired after 30 years of service with Webster as traffic manager. He traveled the entire continental United States. Mr. Ford's hobbies included fishing, watching western movies and drinking coffee with his Hardee's friends.
He is also survived by two daughters, Janet Taylor and Teresa Ford both of Union City; one son, Curt (Krystal) Ford of Montgomery, Alabama; five grandchildren, Amanda Taylor of Southside, Alabama, Abby Ford and Farah Ford both of Montgomery, Alabama, and Ryan Ford and Robbie Ford both of Lafayette, Indiana; seven great grandchildren including Brooklyn Taylor of Southside, Alabama; one great great granddaughter; two sisters, Judy Shaw of Union City and Jean Dickerson of Birmingham, Alabama; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by one son, Greg Ford; and three sisters, Sybil Turner, June Tidwell and Elizabeth Isbell.
