Bobbie "Jean" Chaney Hickerson, 84, of Hornbeak died 8:15 a.m. Saturday, September 20, 2014, at her home. She was a former resident of Hickman, Kentucky.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Union City. Rev. Robert Ponticello will officiate.

The family will receive friends at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of services Tuesday.

She was born March 12, 1930, in Hickman, Kentucky, daughter of the late Guy Maxwell and Robbie Underwood (Bondurant) Williams. She married Donald Vernon Chaney February 8, 1946. He died July 22, 1984. She then married Charles Hickerson December 30, 1990. He died in 2005. Bobbie Jean and her late husband Don were the owners and operators of the former Chaney Funeral Home in Hickman, Kentucky for 38 years. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and was a former member of the Order of Eastern Star.

She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Sherri and Roy Dale Petty of Hornbeak; one sister, Sue Adams of Hickman, Kentucky; one brother, Jerry Maxwell Williams of Tacoma, Washington; three grandchildren, Rebecca (Darnall) Ray of Wingo, Kentucky, William Chaney Petty of Dresden and Donald Gene Petty of Hornbeak; and eleven great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Donna (Chaney) Darnall.
