The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Minnick Bible Church fellowship hall. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. with Brother James Gunter officiating.

Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of cremation arrangements.

Mr. Lewis was born August 27, 1949, in Dyer County, Tennessee, son of the late Lee John and Alma Janice (Griffin) Lewis. He married the former Marsha Day on June 10, 1978. She survives. Mr. Lewis was a self employed packing products broker and served in the United States Air Force in Germany during the Vietnam War.

He is also survived by two daughters, April Patel of Nashville, Tennessee and Beth Lewis of Savannah, Georgia; his son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Alesha Lewis of Union City; three grandsons, Stone Lewis and Mason Lewis both of Union City and Kieran Patel of Nashville, Tennessee; and his brother and sister-in-law, Dennis and Nancy Lewis.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Jimmie Lewis.
