Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday in the Chapel of Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Eddie Mallonee will officiate. Burial will follow in East View Cemetery.

Mr. Gordon was born November 22, 1931, in Obion County, son of the late Buster "Red" and Pauline (Greene) Gordon. He married the former Lucy Juanita Pierce on March 5, 1952. She died May 21, 2003. Mr. Gordon retired in 1995 after 32 years of service as meat manager for the former Terrell's IGA and E.W. James & Sons Supermarket both in Union City. He served in the United States Air Force and the United States Army and was a member of Second Baptist Church and Veterans of Foreign War.

He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Mike & Gregg Gordon of Franklin, Tennessee and Pat & Sherry Gordon of the Sidonia community; his brother, Bobby Gordon of Trenton; five grandchildren, Valerie Isbell of Gleason, Patrick Gordon of Dresden, Brent Gordon of the Sidonia community, and Joseph Gordon and Nicholas Gordon both of Franklin, Tennessee; and eight great-grandchildren, Celeste Isbell of Oklahoma, Taylor Gordon and Abigail Gordon both of the Sidonia community, Lucy Elaine Gordon, Carson Johnson and Garrett Johnson all of Dresden and Carrington Paige Lifsey and Jamison Blake Lifsey both of Gleason.

The family will receive friends in the Chapel of Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday.

Pallbearers will be Mike Mathenia, Danny Jones, Russ Finley, Cody Finley and Brent Gordon.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dale Bryant, Leroy Perryman and Billy Emrich.
