Mr. Billy Wray Baxter, 72, of Union City died 2:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 17, 2014, at his home.

Funeral services for Mr. Baxter will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Friday at Cayce Baptist Church in Cayce, Ky. Brother Michael Farmer and Brother Dale True will officiate. Burial will follow in Hickman City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Cayce Baptist Church 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday and after 9:00 a.m. on Friday.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Baxter was born August 25, 1942, in Big Buck, Tn., son of the late John William and Mary Edna (Neal) Baxter. He married Donna (Forsythe) Baxter December 8, 1978. She survives. Mr. Baxter was a logger for Baxter Logging Company which he owned for 45 years. He was also a member of Cayce Baptist Church,was a Gideon and a Tennessee Master Logger.

He is also survived by four daughters and two sons-in-law, Kim Yeater of Hickman, Kathi and Tony Lattus of Hickman, Karen Wheeler of North Fort Myers, Fl. and Amy and Blane Malone of Fulton; one son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Joyce Terrett of Cayce; one brother, James Paul Baxter of Trezevant; two sisters, Betty Dorris of Hendersonville, Tn. and Elizabeth Spellings of Huntingdon; one brother-in-law, Robert Forsythe of Georgetown, Ky.; 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

He is also preceded in death by his grandson, Kyle Major Malone.
