Obituary

Billy Ray Ary, 83, of Hornbeak passed away 5:25 a.m. Monday, March 23, 2020, at The Waters of Union City.

Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Public Wells Cemetery near Martin. Rick Knoll will officiate.

There will be no visitation and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery for the service.

Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers will be Glenn Ary, Clint Ary, Tyler Cherry, Randy Ary, Don Qualls, Van Tipton, Larry Bradford and Jared Spain.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Memphis School of Preaching , 3950 Forest Hill-Irene Road, Memphis, Tennessee 38125.

Billy was born September 14, 1936, in Newbern, son of the late Vander and Evelyn (Merryman) Ary. He married Trella (Pleasant) Ary December 27, 1955. She survives. Billy was a retired instructor at Northwest Tennessee Correctional Facility in Tiptonville where he taught masonry, carpentry and small engine repair. He was a member of Oak Ridge Church of Christ.

He is also survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Doug Bloodworth of Hornbeak; one son and daughter-in-law, Glenn and Carol Ary of Greenfield; one daughter-in-law, Pennie Ary of Pennsboro, West Virginia; one brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Annette Ary of Martin; four grandchildren and their spouses, Jenny and Corey Markum of Henderson, Clint and Allison Ary of Greenfield, Jacob and Nitasha Bloodworth of Seoul, South Korea and Rebecca and Tyler Cherry of Ewing, Virginia; and six great grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by one son, Steve Ary.
