William Joseph "Bill" Stricklin, age 93, of Union City passed away 10:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at The Etheridge House in Union City.

Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of cremation arrangements and there will be no services at Mr. Bill's request.

Bill was born August 14, 1932, in Obion County, son of the late John Boyd Stricklin, Sr. and Earline Elizabeth (Cunningham) Stricklin. He married Melva Lynn (Matlock) Stricklin in 1988. She preceded him in death May 14, 2022. Bill was a retired attorney having practiced in Union City and Nashville. He was a United States Navy veteran.

He is survived by seven children, Alix Stricklin of Mt. Juliet, David Stricklin (Tracy) of Smyrna, Camille Kendall (Steve) of Troy, Suzanne Walther (Leonard) of Bowling Green, Kentucky, Colin Cooke (Amy of Brentwood, Stephanie Cochran (Craig) of Alamo and Natalie Wroten (Randy) of Tullahoma; 22 grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by two brothers, John Boyd Stricklin, Jr. and Thomas Doak Stricklin.
