Mr. William David "Bill" Prather, aged 71, of Union City, passed away at 6:30 a.m. on Sunday, May 11, 2025, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City. Born on June 23, 1953, in Union City, he was the son of the late David Lawrence and Jauan Marybeth (Queen) Prather. Bill was a dedicated sales representative for Southern Machinery Repair for many years.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Kathi (Pillow) Prather, whom he married on February 26, 1977. He is also survived by his daughter, Brittany Cole of Obion, and his son, Seth Prather of Union City. Bill was a proud grandfather to three grandchildren: Naomi Cole of Obion, and Pyper Prather and Kyzer Prather, both of Union City. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.

Bill was preceded in death by his sister, Pam Prather.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. on Friday at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home, with Brother Billy Skinner officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of services on Friday.
