Dr. Bill Murray, 75, of Union City died 6:44 a.m. Thursday, June 10, 2010, in the emergency room at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City.

Graveside services will be conducted 10:00 a.m. Monday at Antioch Cemetery near Hornbeak. Brother Shane Long will officiate.

Dr. Murray was born March 10, 1935, in Dyer County, son of the late William Parrish and Martha (Sullivan) Murray. He was a retired general practitioner and a member of Fist Apostolic Church in Union City, where he served on the board of trustees and taught Bible classes.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Mary Elizabeth and Alan Chase of St. Louis, Missouri; his son, Brad Murray of Union City; and his granddaughter, Elysse Gandy of St. Louis, Missouri.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda (Brown) Murray who died August 7, 2007; his son William Olanda Murray; and his brother, Steve Murray.

The family will receive friends in the Rosewood Room at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Sunday.

Family members will serve as pallbearers.
