William Henry "Bill" Emrich, Jr., 86, of Union City went home to be with the Lord 11:40 a.m. Sunday, September 27, 2020, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 6, 2020, in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Eddie Mallonee will officiate. Burial will follow in Obion County Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Ben Brown, Josh Robinson, Corey Ramsey, Shawn Johnson, Chris Akin, Brian Speed and Roger Woodward.
Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Thursday.
Bill was born January 14, 1934, in Tyronza, Arkansas, son of the late William Henry Emrich, Sr. and the late Lillie Beatrice (Perryman) Emrich. He married
Joan (Smith) Emrich December 22, 1950. She survives. Bill had been employed
by Colonial Bread Company for 15 years and retired from the former KT Distributors as a salesman after 25 years of service. He was a member of Second Baptist Church in Union City where he had served as a deacon for many years.
He is also survived by three daughters, Judy Robinson (Larry), Pat Ogden (Lynn) and Lisa Adkins all of Union City; one son, Steve Emrich (Missy) of Union City; eight grandchildren, Josh Robinson (Selena) of Murfreesboro, Jaime Johnson (Shawn) of Troy, Yonna Speed (Brian) of Medina, Amanda Ramsey (Corey) of Murfreesboro, Candace Akin (Chris), Ben Brown (Emily), Kyle Adkins of Brookport, Illinois and Gina McIntosh (David) of Troy; seventeen great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; one brother, Joe Emrich (Carolyn) of Livingston; and four sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Emrich of Union City, Annie Mae Emrich of Kenton, Jean Smith of Louisville, Kentucky and Wanda Smith of Tallahassee, Florida.
He was also preceded in death by one great granddaughter, Sophie Akin; and two brothers, Perry Emrich and Charles Emrich. His son-in-law, David Adkins passed away October 14, 2020.
