William A. "Bill" Dunning, 83, of Union City passed away 10:50 p.m. Sunday, October 2, 2022, at his home.

Memorial services will be conducted 12:00 p.m. Thursday at South Fulton Baptist Church. Brother Allen Collins and Dr. Ron Cox will officiate.

Visitation will be held at South Fulton Baptist Church from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of services Thursday.

Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Bill was born October 15, 1938, in Tamms, Illinois, son of the late Walter Milford and Georgia (Coleman) Dunning. He married Mildred (Morris) Dunning March 29, 1996. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1958 to 1962 and was member of the American Legion in Martin. Bill retired as a yard master for CN Railroad after 45 years of service. He was a member of South Fulton Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Mildred Dunning of Union City; two daughters, Lynda Maxon of Harris, Minnesota and Carmela Wesner (Kurt) of Martin; two sons, Billy Dunning (Tammy) of St. Croix, Minnesota and Steven Wright (Brandy) of South Fulton; and eight grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by one sister, Karen Brown; and one brother, Gary Norman Dunning.
