Mr. Billy Morris Autry, Sr., 82, of Rives passed away Monday, January 2, 2023, at his home.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Rick Burton will officiate. Burial will follow in West Hill Cemetery in Rives.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of services Thursday.

Pallbearers will be Bill Manees, Alex Menees, Mike Noyes, Tony Callis, Jacob Greene, Jon Autry, Zac Autry, Matthew Lannom and Gary Lannom.

Bill was born June 27, 1940, in Chic (Dyer County), son of the late William Woodrow and Martha Alline (Connelly) Autry. He married Shirley (Magness) Autry August 6, 1988. She survives. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and worked for the former Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company as an electrical engineer for 29 years. Bill was a member of First Baptist Church Woodland Mills and member of The Gideons International.

He is also survived by three sons, Billy Autry, Jr. (Shannon) of Ripley, Bill Menees (Amy Oldham) of Madison and Mike Noyes of Union City; two daughters, Tracy Lannom (Gary) of Bradford and Beth Callis (Tony) of Rives; ten grandchildren, Jon Autry (Lauren), Zac Autry, Savannah Autry, Megan Cochran (Hunter), Alex Menees, Kaylee Greene (Jacob), Karrie Burton, Matthew Lannom, Josh Burton (Mallory) and Amanda Hicks (Matt); and five great grandchildren, Andrew Stephens, Bella Greene, Daisy Greene, Alice Greene and Harper Mae Cochran.

He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Janie (Forrester) Autry; and his great grandson, Oak Autry.
