Mrs. Beverly Cartwright, 84, of the Dixie community, passed away 10:28 a.m. Thursday, September 3, 2020 at her home.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Charles Southerland will officiate. Burial will follow in Fremont Cemetery, near Union City.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of service Sunday.

Pallbearers will be Jonathan Valenzuela, Jeffrey Kerry, Tony Clark, II, Jamie Clark, Levi Beard, and Brandon Beard.

Beverly was born September 12, 1935, in Hornbeak, daughter of the late Franklin "Gene" and Ollie (Timmons) Beard. She married Richard Cartwright September 8, 2013. He preceded her in death July 4, 2018. Beverly had been employed in the restaurant business for 30 years and was a member of Walnut Log Baptist Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Debbie Couey of Kalamazoo, Michigan and Pam Glander of Troy; two sisters, Geneva Forrester of Union City and Fannie Jo Morton of Houston, Texas; eight grandchildren, Dan Valenzuela (Kristen) of Harmon, Michigan, Jonathan Valenzuela (Kara) of Kalamazoo, Michigan, Tony Clark II of San Mateo, California, Desmond Clark (Jessie McCants) of Boone, Iowa, Erin Rodriguez (Hector) of San Antonio, Texas, Melissa Kerry of Portland, Oregon, Jeffrey Kerry (Sarah) of Kalamazoo, Michigan, and Jamie Clark (Shelly) of Cypress, California; and nineteen great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Dianna Clark; one grandson, K'Len Clark; and several siblings.
