Obituary

On Friday, March 11, 2022, Betulia Pavon de Castro, loving Christian wife, mother, grandmother and friend, passed away at the age of 90 in Rogers, Arkansas.
A celebration of life service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 16, 2022, in the chapel of the Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home in Union City, Tennessee.  Brother Eddie Mallonee will officiate. Betulina and her late husband Victor will be laid to rest in East View Cemetery in Union City.
Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of services Wednesday.
Pallbearers will be Hector Fortin, David Lundien, Mitch Mersman, Andrew Ryan, Brad Burkett, Chuck Oliver and Travis Reaves.
Betulia was born on November 8, 1931, in Comayaguela, Honduras.  She was the daughter of the late Miguel and Feliciana Pavon.  Her husband of 58 years, Victor, preceded her in death in 2019. Betulia worked in banking for many years, and she also ran her own laundry business before retiring. She truly enjoyed hosting get togethers with family and friends, and had a passion for cooking and growing flowers in her home in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. The past six years of her life she had lived in Rogers.
She is survived by 3 daughters, Nora Fortin of Houston, Texas, Lourdes Salinas of Honduras, and Geraldina Lundien (David) of Rogers, Arkansas; two sons, Efrain Fortin (Emerita) of Honduras, and Victor Castro (Laura) of Benton, Arkansas; eighteen grandchildren, Hector Flores, Enrique Flores, Lynda Flores, Barbara Taye, and Cesia Maldonado of Houston, Texas, Sindy Fortin-Tatalovic of Krakow, Poland, Linda Fortin of  Barcelona, Spain, Johana Fortin, Skarleth Fortin, Francis Salinas,  Hector Salinas, Cristian Salinas, Francia Salinas and Nora Maldonado of Honduras, Hector Fortin of Toronto, Canada, Paulina Mersman of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Isabella Castro of Bentonville, Arkansas, and Francesca Castro of Benton, Arkansas; and twenty great grandchildren. She also leaves behind her two beloved nieces Lorena Casco and Maritza Valladares of Honduras, as well as several other nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters, Lidia Pavon and Maria Luisa Pavon, one brother, Jorge Pavon, grandson Moises Salinas, and great grandson Julio Flores.
