Ms. Betty Jane Smith, 56, of Union City passed away 2:30 a.m. Sunday, February 8, 2026, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City.

Graveside services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Friday at Campground Cemetery near Troy.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until 12:15 p.m. Friday.

Betty was born March 9, 1969, in Union City, daughter of the late David Franklin Armstrong and Mary Jane (Hudgins) Taylor of Union City.  She worked for Northwest Tennessee Human Resource Agency Transportation and enjoyed going to yard sales and playing with her dogs.

She is also survived by four sons, Tim Armstrong of Bluff Dale, Texas, Glenn Webb of Union City, Timbo Smith (Amanda) of Samburg and Jeremy Smith of Samburg; one daughter, Sissi Smith of Samburg; two grandsons, Lincoln Armstrong and Lance Campbell both of Azle, Texas; two sisters, Diane Madding (Ray) of Union City and Rose Higgins of Union City; two brothers, Frank Armstrong of Union City and Danny Armstrong (Tracey) of Union City; and several nieces and nephews.
