Obituary

Betty Sue Roberson, 84, of Hornbeak passed away 9:05 p.m. Monday, July 29, 2024, at AHC Van Ayer in Martin.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Archie Larry will officiate. Burial will follow in Terrace Hill Cemetery near Troy.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of services Friday.

Pallbearers will be Matthew Roberson, Billy Joe Roberson, Zach Roberson, Larry Wayne Roberson, Doug Baker and Eric Owens.

Betty Sue was born February 8, 1940, in Springfield, Missouri, daughter of the late Price and Donnie (Steward) Wheatley. She married Edward Guy "Ed" Roberson July 5, 1958. He preceded her in death July 12, 2022. Betty Sue had been employed as a newspaper carrier for the former Memphis Press Scimitar and the Commercial Appeal and was a homemaker. She was a member of Main Street Church of Christ in Troy and Woodmen of The World.

She is survived by two daughters, Velma Tate (David) of Hornbeak and Jennifer Roberson (Russell Blassingame) of the Shawtown community; two sons, Guy Roberson (Cathy) of Troy and Bobby Joe Roberson (Christy) of Obion; 15 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one son, Tim Roberson; one granddaughter, Debra Roberson; and one brother, Ralph Wheatley.
