Mrs. Betty Orr, 74, of Troy passed away 3:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 3, 2015, at Union City Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Funeral services will be conducted 12:00 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home. Wilford Mobley and Jeff Bell will officiate. Burial will follow in Terrace Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service on Saturday
Pallbearers will be Lowell Grooms, Joe Johnson, Jeff Jackson, Daniel Huey, Totsie Parker, Guy Walker Gray, Bill Garrett and Wesley Jackson.
Mrs. Orr was born October 23, 1940, in Obion County, daughter of the late Lester and Elva (James) Mayse. She married
Homer Alex Orr
June 14, 1958. He died January 4, 2015. Mrs. Orr was a member of Bishop Street Church of Christ and was a homemaker.
She is survived by two sons, Ricky Allen Orr of Troy and Steven Orr of Gadsden, Alabama; two granddaughters, Hailey Brooke Orr and Demi Blaire Orr, both of Troy; her sister, Norma Cherry of Memphis; and three brothers, James Mayse of Dresden, Buryl Mayse of Memphis and Glenn Mayse of Martin.
She was also preceded in death by her granddaughter, Stevie Grace Orr and one brother, Bobby Mayse
