Betty Jo Gray, 89, of Union City passed away 3:00 a.m. Friday, May 3, 2024, at her home.
Funeral services were conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Ron Gray officiated. Burial followed in Obion County Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers were grandsons and great grandsons.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to First Church of God, 415 South Miles Avenue, Union City, Tennessee 38261 or the charity of the donor's choice.
Betty Jo was born July 25, 1934, in Dorena, Missouri, daughter of Charlie and Grace (Brown) Childers. She married Andrew Gene Gray April 12, 1952. Betty Jo was a retired factory worker and a homemaker. She was a very active member of First Church of God in Union City.
She is survived by her husband, Gene Gray of Union City; her daughter, Gina Williams and husband Jeff Hedrick of Union City; her son, Ron Gray and wife Wanda of Union City; three grandchildren, Ryan Gray of Union City, C.J. Williams and wife Shannon of Union City and Nikki Lilly and husband Chase of Counce; five great grandchildren, Ethan Allen of Murray, Kentucky, Courtland Gray and Coleman Gray both of Seymour, SarahJane Williams of Union City and Avery Lilly of Counce; one sister, Shirley Long of Jacksonville, Florida; and one brother, Johnny Childers and wife Brenda of Columbia, South Carolina.
She was also preceded in death by one grandson, Daren Gray.
