Betty (Rudd) Gallaway, 55, of Troy passed away 10:45 a.m. Thursday, May 2, 2019, at her home.

Funeral services will be conducted 4:00 p.m. Sunday at Troy First Baptist Church. Burial will follow in East View Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Troy First Baptist Church from 2:00 p.m. until the hour of services Sunday.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Bailey, Travis Johnson, Darren Ray, Mark Adams, Bill Mathis and Jimmy Pendergast.

Honorary pallbearers will be Bryson Underwood and Payton Pendergast.

Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Betty was born May 7, 1963, in Union City, daughter of the late Clyde Junior Rudd and the late Jewell Mae (Dean) Stewart. She married V.J. Gallaway in April 2017. He preceded her in death January 15, 2019. Betty was a homemaker and a member of Troy First Baptist Church.

She is survived by one daughter, Shea Sadler (Jake) of Troy; two sons, Patrick Pendergast of Ripley and Montana Powell of Union City; five sisters, Shelby Bailey (Jerry) and Kristi Johnson (Travis) all of Troy, Tremenda Dillon (Butch) of Hutchinson, Kansas, Brenda Adams (Mark) of Sedalia, Kentucky and Karen Ray (Darren) of Union City; two brothers, Rick Matheny (Dianne) of Jackson and Tim Rudd of Dyersburg; and eight grandchildren, Brylee, Bryson, Blair, Payton, Cameron, Drake, Logan and Landon.

She was also preceded in death by one sister, Patricia Mathis; and her stepmother, Joan Rudd.
