Mrs. Betty Jane Baggett, 88, of Union City passed away 10:52 p.m. Thursday, September 28, 2023, at Obion County Nursing Home.

Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Fremont Cemetery. Brother Chip Davis will officiate.

There will be no visitation and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery at service time.

Betty was born February 17, 1935, in Hickman, Kentucky, daughter of the late Riley and Charlotte (Everett) Reeves.  She married Laymon Edward Baggett June 26, 1963.  He passed away December 21, 2022.  She was a homemaker.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Riley and Traci Baggett of Union City; her daughter and son-in-law, Charlotte and Keith Gabel of Medina; her sister, Elizabeth Atwill of Cayce, Kentucky; and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.
