Mrs. Betsy Gail (Bonds) Yates, 38, of Union City died 11:28 p.m. Saturday, October 2, 2010, at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home. Dr. Melvin Poe will officiate. Burial will follow in Obion County Memorial Gardens.

Betsy was born October 21, 1971, in Union City, daughter of Wanda Sue (Lane) Bonds of Union City and the late Paul Harrison Bonds. She married Jason Yates on February 24, 2001. He survives. She was a homemaker, and a member of Calvary Baptist Church where she served as secretary of the Pastors Sunday School Class and was an extended session child care worker.

She is also survived by her daughter, Rylee Makayla Beth Yates, 6, and her son, Jonas Adam Yates, one week old, both of Union City; two brothers, Greg Bonds and Brad Bonds both of Union City; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Ronnie and Sandra Yates of Union City; her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Melinda and Randy Cochrum of Union City; her niece, Rachel Cochrum of Union City; her nephew, Isaac Cochrum of Union City; and several uncles and aunts.

The family will receive friends at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday.

Pallbearers will be Joey Barker, Mike Barker, Randy Cochrum, Joe Lewis, Brian Jewell and David Lusk.

Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to Calvary Baptist Church Building Fund, 2250 E. Reelfoot Avenue, Union City, Tennessee 38261 or Second Baptist Church Building Fund, 831 N. Everett Blouvard, Union City, Tennessee 38261.
