Ellegood
August 27, 1981 – July 16, 2021
On July 16, 2021, Bethany Lynn Ellegood went to her eternal Heavenly Home to be with Jesus. She was born in Akron, Ohio on August 27 th , 1981 to Chapy and Carol Ingersoll. She moved to Union City, TN at 3 years old. She went to the Union City and Obion County School Systems. She then went to University of Tennessee of Martin and graduated with a degree in Elementary Education later to receive her masters from Arkansas State. She lovingly taught for 8 years at Lake Road Elementary and loved all the students and teachers. Her family was her life and letting people know of the love of Jesus was her goal in the way she lived and served.
In 2011, it was the joy of her life to marry Ryan Anthony Ellegood. A year later she added to her joy with the birth of Reagan Anthony Ellegood.
She also leaves behind mother-in-law Lisa Ellegood and grandmother-in-law, Joyce Morgan, brother Ben (Sarah) Ingersoll, children Eli and Eliana of Cookeville, sister Kerry (Richard) Hines of Brentwood children Roman and Kylee Beth. Sister-in-law Taylor (Mark) Pierce of Samburg. Her aunts and uncles Linda (Jim) Noall, Sherry Roman, Vicky Bogus, Vern and Jackie Ingersoll, Mark (Gayle) Ellegood, Eddie (Linda) Ellegood, Alison (John) Ahrens, Tammy (Dennis) James, and great aunt Dean Sullivan. Cousins are Adam, Kalyn, Jennifer, Nicky, Michael, and their families.
Preceded in death by father-in-law Robert Anthony Ellegood, grandparents Robert and Ellen Ingersoll, Randy and Colene Roman, and her uncle Tom Bogus.
Bethany loved children, cats, dog Jack (who was always by her side), growing flowers, and mission trips.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 21 at Second Baptist Church Union City between 10:00 am and 1:00 pm. Funeral service will be at 1:00 pm. Pastor Justin Hiens will officiate. Burial will be in the Mt Olive Baptist Church cemetery in Crystal, TN following the funeral service.
Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers will be Mark Pierce, Ben Ingersoll, Richard Hines, Robert Griggs, Chad Baker, and Mark Ward.
Honorary pallbearers will be teachers from Lake Road School and deacons of Second Baptist Church.
