Rebecca June "Becky" Smith, 82, of Union City passed away 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 22, 2023, at the home of her son and daughter-in-law Tim and Sandy Smith.

Graveside services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Obion County Memorial Gardens. Pastor Tommy Hall will officiate.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. Saturday.

Pallbearers will be Trae Smith, Daniel Smith, Alton Smith, Randy Connell, Richie Miller and Dudley Schleifer.

Becky was born January 5, 1941, in Dyer County, daughter of the late John R. and Helen (Stafford) Sutton. She married Alvin Waco Smith August 4, 1956. He preceded her in death November 16, 2011. Becky retired from Kohler after 36 years of service and attended Union City First Assembly of God.

She is survived by two sons, Tim Smith and wife Sandy of Union City and Alvin Smith of Rising City, Nebraska; five grandchildren, Amy Schleifer and husband Dudley of Yorkville, Michael Smith and wife Melissa of Union City, Kim Duke and husband JD of Lincoln, Nebraska, Trae Smith and wife Cecelia of Norfolk, Nebraska and Daniel Smith and wife Emily of Osceola, Nebraska; nine great grandchildren; three sisters, Patsy Connell of Union City, Carolyn Morgan and husband Royce of South Fulton and Linda Holly of Olive Branch, Mississippi; and one brother, Roland Sutton and wife Donna of Union City.

She was also preceded in death by one sister, Ollie Ruth Miller; and one brother, Johnny Sutton.
