Basil "Buzz" Wilson, 80, of Ridgely passed away 6:58 a.m. Monday, October 16, 2023, at West Tennessee Healthcare Dyersburg Hospital.

Memorial services will be held Sunday, October 22, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at 3388 South Bluff Road, Obion, Tn.  38240.

Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of cremation arrangements.

Basil was born February 15, 1943, in Dyersburg, son of the late Basil and Eunice (Morgan) Wilson. He married Mary Alice (Henderson) Wilson July 4, 2000. She preceded him in death October 6, 2022. Basil had served in the United States Air Force and was a retired truck driver.

He is survived by one daughter, Lisa Sharp of Michigan; one step daughter, Jennifer Blakley and husband Steve of Obion; one step son, Joey Henderson and wife Tammy of Union City; eight grandchildren, Jared Wilson and wife Summer, Wesley Sharp, Jordan Sharp, Blake Warren, Cody Warren, Kaycee Williams, Michael Mayse and Makayla Mayse; and seven great grandchildren, Marley Wilson, Briley Biggs, Macy Warren, Emilee Williams, Kadie Williams, Cassidy Sharpe and Barrett Lineberry.

He was also preceded in death by one son, Scott Wilson; one brother, Jimmy Wilson; and two sisters, Anita Fisher and Judy Pierce.
