Mrs. Barbara Idella Westby, 73, of Troy, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, July 26, 2026.

Barbara was born on August 30, 1952, in Union City, to the late Clois and Idella (Pendergrass) Young. She worked as a bank teller for several local banks throughout her career, where she was known for her friendly smile and kind heart.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Jody Davis, who passed away on July 11, 1983; and her daughter, April Dawn Westby.

On September 19, 1998, she married Paul Westby, who survives. In addition to her husband, Barbara is survived by her daughter, Julianna (Tommy) Hopper of Milan; her sons, Jackson Davis of Union City, Chad Davis of Union City, and Jeff Westby of Princeton, Kentucky; fourteen grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; her cousin, Eddie Moore of Destin, Florida; and her caretaker and best friend, Rhiannon Easley of Troy.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Ron Gray will officiate with burial to follow in East View Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.

Serving as pallbearers will be Markus Westby, Jeff Westby, Billy Joe Easley, Tommy Hopper, and Matt Corum.
