Barbara "Sissy" Elliott, 70, of Union City passed away 6:30 p.m. Sunday, August 30, 2020, at her home.

Funeral services will be conducted 7:00 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother David Hagan will officiate.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until the hour of services Wednesday.

Barbara was born October 19, 1949, in Union City, daughter of the late Leonard Hiram and Mary Olene (Warran) Tucker. She married Joe Elliott January 11, 2006. He preceded her in death July 7, 2016. Barbara was a active member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and attended Calvary Baptist Church in Union City. She loved gardening, sewing, flowers and homemaking.

She is survived by two daughters, Cheryl Burpo (Chris) of Savannah and Brandy Virgin (Dallas) of Troy; four grandchildren, Shonda Landry and Ryan Burpo both of Union City and Dakota Smith and Jake Smith both of Memphis; one sister, Sue Killebrew (Gary) of Union City; and one brother, Frank Tucker (Jo Ann) of Union City.

She was also preceded in death by her granddaughter, Cheyenne Smith; one sister, Martha Jane Sanford; four brothers, L.H. Tucker, Jr., Billy Ray Tucker, Jimmy Dale Tucker and Charlie Tucker.
