Barbara Weatherly Blanton, 75, of the Brownsville, Kentucky community passed away 11:15 a.m. Monday, March 20, 2023, at her home.

Memorial services will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Saturday, March 25, 2023, in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Rev. Judd Mowery will officiate.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of services Saturday.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to Sassafras Ridge Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 101, Hickman, Kentucky 42050.

Barbara was born March 30, 1947, in Lake County, daughter of the late Alton Jack and Beulah (Goodman) Weatherly. She married Jimmy Blanton August 20, 1965. He survives. Barbara prided herself in being a farmer's daughter. She enjoyed gardening and could grow anything. She also enjoyed watching birds.

She is also survived by two daughters and one son-in-law, Becky and Tim Blackley of Hornbeak and Mona Hopper of the Brownsville community; one sister, Dolly Wilkerson of Fulton, Kentucky; two grandsons, Josh Blanton and wife Becca of Troy and Trea Hopper of Cayce, Kentucky; and five great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Dorothy Simmons, Opal Oatsville and Nancy Jackson; and four brothers, Pete Weatherly, Sam Weatherly, Raymond "Tutty" Weatherly and Bobby Joe Weatherly.
