Obituary

Mrs. Anna Mae Muse, 95, of Troy passed away 10:10 p.m. Sunday, April 7, 2019, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother James Gunter will officiate. Burial will follow in New Ebenezer Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday.

Pallbearers will be Rob Muse, Joe Fultz, Steve Muse, Waylon Matheny, Spenser Maloney and Lyn Maloney.

Honorary pallbearers will be David Clift, Charlie Clift, Bud Garrison, David Alexander, Buddy Bright, James D. Hutchison and Stacy Hutchison.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to Protemus Cumberland Presbyterian Church, c/o Betty Rhamy, 2372 W. Shawtown Road, Troy, Tn. 38260 or New Ebenezer Cemetery Association, c/o Kay Fultz, 903 Ebenezer Road, Troy, Tn. 38260.

Mrs. Muse was born November 8, 1923, in Troy, daughter of the late Lannie and Velna (Darnell) Scott. Anna Mae was a 1941 graduate of the former Troy High School where she was salutatorian of her class. She married Robert Lee Muse January 12, 1948. He preceded her in death February 23, 1976. Ms. Anna Mae had been employed at the former Scott's Grocery in Troy and at Salant & Salant in Obion. She was a member of Protemus Cumberland Presbyterian Church where she had served as piano player. She was the former piano player at New Ebenezer Cumberland Presbyterian Church for 50 years. Ms. Anna Mae was a member of the Cobbs Chapel Senior Friends.

She is survived by one daughter, Kay Fultz (Russell) of Troy; one daughter-in-law, Anitra Muse of Union City; six grandchildren, Jessica Pruyn (Brice) of Ashland City, Joe Fultz, Robert Muse (Aimee), Hannah Hutto (Jordan) and Nathanael Muse all of Troy and David Muse of Union City; and seven great grandchildren, Brianna Pruyn, Elias Pruyn, Josiah Pruyn, Charlee Muse, Leah Muse, Will Muse and Autumn Hutto.

She was also preceded in death by her infant daughter, Lannis Ann Muse; her son, Bill Muse; and her twin brother, Wilba Gray Scott.
