Obituary

Mrs. Mary Ann Bailey, 85, of Troy died 6:15 a.m. Wednesday, August 6, 2014, at Union City Manor Nursing Home.

Funeral services will be conducted 6:00 p.m. Friday at Troy First Baptist Church. Dr. Vann Kissell will officiate. Burial will follow in Campground Cemetery near Troy.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons and sons-in-law.

The family will receive friends at Troy First Baptist Church from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Friday.

Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Bailey was born March 23, 1929, in Gibson County, daughter of the late Lewis Franklin and Annie (Waynick) Frazier. She married James Martin Bailey July 26, 1947. He died March 31, 1990. Mrs. Bailey was a member of Troy First Baptist Church and was a homemaker.

She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley Dobbins and Patti and Butch Fussell all of Troy and Mary Nell and Terry Roberson of Union City; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry and Shelby Bailey and David and Debbie Bailey all of Troy; She was affectionately known as "Granny B" to her 10 grandchildren, Kevin Dobbins, Cande Taylor, Kyle Bailey and Amanda Weaks all of Troy, Tabitha Griffith, Shaun Bailey and Lindsey Hopkins all of Union City, Tara Evans of Obion, Josh Roberson of Hornbeak, and   Cameron Bailey of Selfridge, North Dakota; and 19 great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by three sisters; four brothers; and one son-in-law, Johnnie Dobbins.
